Select inventory from a specific lot

When adding consumption, you can select inventory from a specific lot and location from which to consume the item.
If the Must Consume from Inventory parameter for the BOM item is set to True, then you must select the Inv button to specify the lot from which the item will be consumed.
Select inventory to consume from a specific lot

Select the Inv button on the Add Consumption panel.
The Select Lot from Which to Consume dialog appears.

Initially, the list shows all lots for which there is inventory for the selected BOM item, regardless of location, except for the following conditions:

If a default location is set for the BOM item and its May Choose Alternate Inventory Location parameter is set to False, then only lots for that item at that location are listed. The location cannot be changed.

If a default location is set for the BOM item and its May Choose Alternate Inventory Location parameter is set to True, then the lots that are listed will initially be filtered by that location. However, you can change the location filtering by selecting a different location in the Location list.
Filter the list by a location

On the Location list, select the location.
Clear the location filter

On the Location list, select the blank option at the top of the list.
Show only those lots for the BOM item that are assigned to the work order of the running or completed job

Select Assigned to Work Order.
Note the following about the quantities that are shown in the dialog:

The Qty. Remaining will be set to the quantity remaining to be consumed for the selected BOM item.

When a lot is selected, if the lot quantity is less than or equal to Qty. Remaining, then the Qty. to Consume will be set to the quantity remaining for that lot. If the quantity of the lot is greater than Qty. Remaining, then the Qty. to Consume will be set to the same value as Qty. Remaining.
