View and manage utilization events

Note: The Utilization tab is available only if an MES Performance license has been installed.
You can add and modify utilization events for an entity on the Utilization tab.

Action Buttons
Details button — Display details about the selected utilization event in a Details panel.
Chart/Grid toggle button — Toggles between showing a grid or timeline chart of the utilization events for the current entity. See View the utilization events timeline chart.
New button — Select the New button to assign a new utilization event for the current entity.
Edit button — Select the Edit button to edit the reason or comment of a utilization event.
Merge button — Select the Merge button to merge two utilization events.
Split button — Select the Split button to split a utilization event into two events.
Help — Opens the Job Management form help.
Filter control
Select the Filter button to open the Filter panel. The panel includes properties by which to filter the events in the grid or chart. See Filter utilization events.
Utilization event grid
The utilization events for the current entity are displayed in this grid. The grid appears with the action panel by default. When the panel is closed, the grid expands and occupies the space where the panel appears.
Action panel
The contents of the action panel changes, depending on what task is currently being performed in the tab.

With a utilization event selected, the event detail properties appear here, for viewing only.

When filtering the events in the grid or chart, the filter properties appear here.
Timeline filter
Select a preset time range by which to filter the events in the grid or chart.
