In addition to the samples that are automatically generated based on sample plan frequencies, you can manually create ad-hoc samples.
Create a sample
-
Select New.
The Create panel appears.

-
Complete the sample properties.
Select the
button to the right of a field to pick from a list of available selections for that
property.

Location
The location or equipment with which the sample is associated.
Work Order
The work order with which the sample is associated.
If a value isn't entered and a work order is currently associated with a job that is running on the Location entry, then that work order will also be associated with the sample when the sample record is saved to the database.
Item ID
The ID of the item with which the sample is associated.
If a value isn't entered and an item is currently associated with a job that is running on the Location entry, then that item will also be associated with the sample when the sample record is saved to the database.
Create Time and Date Time
Set the required time for the sample to the current time or a custom time.
-
Select Save.
The sample is created and appears in the grid if it matches the current filter settings.
