Buffering configuration when you add a server to a collective and additional steps for using interface failover

PI Buffer Subsystem automatically uses n-way buffering and sends data to all servers in a Data Archive collective. In many cases, you only need to verify PI Buffer Subsystem operation after you add a server to a Data Archive collective.

If you have configured interface failover and Data Archive sends output points to the interface, you should also point a redundant interface to a secondary collective member.

Note: Restart PI ICU after upgrading to a Data Archive collective.
