Upgrade to pibufss from API Buffer Server

API Buffer Server is deprecated and will be removed when upgrading client nodes to PI Buffer Subsystem 2018 SP2 Patch or higher or AF Client 2018 SP3 Patch 2 or higher.

Any setup kit that includes the PI Buffer Subsystem will check to see if API Buffer Server (bufserv) is in use. If it is detected that API Buffer Server is in use, a dialog box will appear informing you that you will be required to migrate from API Buffer Server (bufserv) to PI Buffer Subsystem after the installation is complete. PI API buffering will not work until the Buffering Manager migration wizard is complete.
