Non-replicated tables

The replication service does not replicate data for several tables:

• Tables storing meta-information about the attributes in the PIPOINT table:

  • PIPTCLS — Contains information about point classes

  • PIATRSET — Contains information about attribute sets

• Batch subsystem tables:

  • PIBAUNIT

  • PIBAALIAS

    We recommend the Batch Database (BDB) for new batch applications because it builds on the Module Database (MDB), which is replicated.

• Machine-specific configuration tables:

  • PI_GEN

  • PITIMEOUT

  • PIFIREWALL

• Use PI SMT or piconfig to change these tables to accommodate hardware-specific or network-specific conditions.
