Default connection preferences

PI Connection Manager specifies a preference for the order in which PI SDK connects to collective servers from a particular workstation. You can configure connection order to balance loads or for other reasons.

For example, you might restrict workstations on the business network to connect only to servers located on the business network, or you might prefer workstations to connect to servers located in the same building. You can configure a particular client to override the default connection preference with client-specific connection preferences.
