You must enable the lookup-failure tuning parameter on any secondary Data Archive server in a Data Archive collective that cannot resolve security mappings from the primary server. You must also enable the lookup-failure tuning parameter on the primary server in the Data Archivecollective if you define mappings valid only on secondary servers.

Note: Like any tuning parameter, collectives do not replicate this setting.

  1. Click Start > All Programs > PI System > PI System Management Tools.

  2. Under Collectives and Servers, select the Data Archive server where you want to enable the tuning parameter.

  3. Under System Management Tools, select Operation > Tuning Parameters.

  4. Click the New Parameter button.

  5. In Parameter name, type:

    Base_AllowSIDLookupFailureForMapping

  6. In Value, type:

    1

  7. Click OK.

  8. Restart the server’s PI Base Subsystem.
