Use buffering to protect against data loss on any computer with software that writes data to Data Archive. You can also use it to help ensure data integrity for Data Archive collectives by fanning data to all collective members.

Decide whether to set up a domain user for PI Buffer subsystem. For improved security, we recommend configuring the buffering service to log on as a domain user (see PI Buffer Subsystem and service logon accounts).
