Add a server to receive buffered data

You can add a Data Archive server to receive buffered data from the computer using Buffering Manager or other PI products.

Note: If you add a server using certain PI products, you select the server using that product. For example, in PI Interface Configuration Utility (PI ICU), if Buffering Status is Off for an existing server, you can click the Enable button to add the server to the buffering configuration. In that case you will skip the Server Selection pane.

To add a server:

1. Open Buffering Manager.

2. Go to File > Add Server.
