Understand buffering limitations for batch interfaces

Batch interfaces write data only to the primary server in a Data Archive collective. While data can be buffered to collective members, it will not function as it does on the primary.

If you are running a batch interface version 5.x or later, you should enable buffering. We do not recommend buffering for computers running only batch interfaces 4.x or prior. For computers running both a batch interface and another interface that can be buffered, buffering is recommended.

Refer to the documentation for your interface for instructions on configuring the interface without buffering.
