PI AF deployment options

Depending on your needs and goals, you have various options for deploying PI AF server, ranging from a simple deployment that uses one computer to a complex mirrored collective that uses multiple computers. Carefully consider which deployment option is best for your needs and resource constraints before installation.

To implement high availability for PI AF, we recommend an approach based on network load balancing and Microsoft high availability technologies. However, there are many other possible solutions to achieve high availability that you can choose based on your own requirements.

Although we still support PI AF Collectives, we now recommend other high availability solutions.
