Set synchronization and communication frequencies manually

Use piconfig to manually set the frequencies that a secondary server communicates with and synchronizes with its primary server.

  1. Open a command prompt on the computer that hosts the primary server.

  2. Navigate to the ..\PI\adm directory.

  3. To set synchronization frequency, type:

    piconfig
    @tabl piserver
    @mode ed
    @istr name, syncperiod
    ServerName, x

    where ServerName is the name of the secondary server and x is the new synchronization frequency.

  4. To set communication frequency, type:

    piconfig
    @tabl piserver
    @mode ed
    @istr name, commperiod
    ServerName, x

    where ServerName is the name of the secondary server and x is the new communication frequency.

  5. Type Ctrl+C to exit.
