Force an archive shift on the primary server

We recommend that you force an archive shift if the primary archive is nearly full and will shift soon. Forcing an archive shift on the primary server before starting n-way buffering and the replication service will allow all servers in the collective to have similar archive shifts.

  1. Open a command window.

  2. Navigate to the ..\PI\adm directory.

  3. Enter: piartool -fs
