Troubleshoot PI points in error

If point errors have occurred, the errors will appear in the dashboard under Global Buffering Status for the appropriate server or servers. For additional details, use the Point errors window.

  • On the View menu, click Point errors.

If no point errors have occurred, a message appears stating that there are no buffered points in error. If point errors have occurred, the Point errors window appears. This window lists each point error, when it first occurred, and how many times it has occurred for this point.

  • The Point name column at the left side of the window shows the name of the point in error. If Buffering Manager cannot resolve the point name, the point ID appears in the Point name column.

  • The Count column on the far right shows the number of times this point error has occurred.
