Remove a secondary server from a Data Archive collective

Use Collective Manager to remove a secondary server from a Data Archive collective.

Note: Do not attempt to remove the last remaining server in your collective.

1. Log on to the primary Data Archive computer.

2. Click Start > All Programs > PI System > Collective Manager.

3. Under Collectives, select the collective you want to edit.

4. In the diagram of collective members, select the secondary server you want to remove.

5. Choose Edit > Remove Server from Collective.

6. Click Yes at the confirmation prompt.

   Collective Manager removes the server from the collective and updates the display.

7. Clear the known servers table at each client connected to the Data Archive collective.
