Copy local PI messages

Open the PI messages window, then filter and sort messages as needed to display the ones you want to copy.

You can copy one or more local PI messages from the search results and paste them in an email, spreadsheet, or other document. This can be helpful during troubleshooting.

1. Click a single message to select it, or select multiple messages as follows:

   • To select all messages displayed in the results, press CTRL+A.

   • To select a contiguous series of messages, click the first message, then press SHIFT and click the last message.

   • To select messages that are not contiguous, press CTRL and click each message.

2. Press CTRL+C to copy the selected messages.

3. Click in the target document and press CTRL+V to paste the selected messages.

   The selected messages are pasted in the target document.
