Buffering and High Availability

Detected PI Interfaces pane

  • Last UpdatedJun 19, 2023
  • 1 minute read

The Detected PI Interfaces pane shows the interfaces on this computer that were detected by Buffering Manager. Interfaces selected in this pane will be configured for buffering. In this pane:

  • Each interface appears under the Data Archive to which it sends data.

  • For collective members, the collective name is shown in parentheses after the server name.

  • If a connected server cannot be detected, the interface or service is shown under the heading Unknown.

  • Data Archive servers may be listed without interfaces. For example, this might happen if an interface was configured to buffer to the server, but was later uninstalled.
