Monitoring tools for high availability

Ensure early detection of problems by continuously monitoring the AVEVA™ PI System™, network, database operations, applications, and other system components. We provide several tools and utilities for monitoring a PI System, including:

• PI System Management Tools (SMT) for performing routine Data Archive administration tasks.

• PI Interface Configuration Utility (ICU) for configuring PI interfaces.

• Collective Manager for creating and managing Data Archive collectives for implementing high availability (HA) in your Data Archive server.

• PI SDK Utility for troubleshooting tasks.

• PI System Explorer for managing PI AF.

Powerful command-line utilities are also available as described in the Data Archive Reference Guide.

The monitoring tools must be also highly available and adhere to the same operational best practices as the components they monitor.
