The Supervisory console is designed for users in supervisory roles within the AVEVA Composable MES environment. It provides a broader and more strategic view of production operations compared to the Operator console. The console is highly configurable, allowing organizations to tailor the interface and functionality to their specific supervisory workflows and operational requirements. Key features of the Supervisory console include a configurable page header and user case detail area.

Configurable page header
The header includes:
-
A multi-layer navigation tree for traversing equipment hierarchies across plants or sites.
-
Custom content such as job progress bars, tailored to the specific solution.
-
Configurable tabs: Unlike the Operator console, the Supervisory console does not include a default Task tab. However, it supports all other optional tabs, which can be configured to provide access to various use cases depending on the project setup.
Like the Operator console, the supervisory console can be individually configured for the individual user in the supervisory role and the available tabs can be configured based on user access rights.
For a detailed description of the header, see Supervisory console header.
Configurable use case details
The console grants access to advanced management functions like job, work order, and downtime management.
-
Extended information access: Supervisors can view both historical and future data related to production, such as job lists, work order lists, and downtime records.
-
Dashboards: It includes dashboards specifically designed for supervisory needs, offering insights into operational performance.
For a detailed description of the use case detail area, see Supervisory console use case details area.
Note: AVEVA provides a set of predefined AVEVA standard management use cases accessible via configurable tabs that can be used in the Supervisory console or Operator console. For more information on the available standard management use cases, see the related Composable MES use case documentation.
