The Inventory Management use case consolidates a comprehensive suite of MES inventory management functions into a single, module-centric interface tailored for operator and supervisory users. It streamlines inventory oversight by offering centralized access to key actions and insights through a configurable tab embedded in the Supervisory or Operator console.
This use case enables users to view and manage inventory records, apply quick filters based on state, grade, and item class, and perform actions such as receiving, transferring, adjusting, scrapping, splitting, merging, and reclassifying inventory. It also provides access to detailed inventory attributes, sub-lot level tracking, and material reception workflows, helping users maintain accurate, traceable, and efficient inventory operations.
The Inventory Management use case is typically integrated into the Supervisory console but can also be configured for the Operator console, depending on the user’s role and access rights.
Note: This documentation describes the predefined AVEVA standard Inventory Management use case (version 1.02) without considering any additional customization.
