Adjust inventory

Use the Adjust Inventory use case details to correct the recorded quantity for the selected inventory item to reflect actual stock levels. This enables users to maintain inventory accuracy and resolve discrepancies due to shrinkage, overages, or manual reconciliation.

Adjust inventory

  1. Select the Adjust Inventory panel button.

    The Adjust Inventory use case details open.

  2. Update the following properties:

    • New quantity: Updated amount of inventory.

    • Reason: Notes describing the reason for the adjustment.

  3. Review the following (read-only) inventory properties:

    • Location: Where the inventory is currently stored.

    • Item: Description of the material or product.

    • Quantity: Available quantity for transfer.

    • Difference: Calculated variance between the original recorded quantity and the newly entered quantity.

    • Lot number (no.): Unique identifier for a specific batch of items that were produced under similar conditions.

    • Sub lot number (no.): Unique identifier for a subdivision of a lot number, used to track smaller, distinct portions of a larger inventory batch.

    • Comments: General contextual notes about the inventory item.

  4. Select Adjust.

    The inventory list updates immediately to reflect the adjusted inventory.
