Use the Andon Execution use case to manage a structured workflow for identifying, tracking, and resolving issues on the production floor. For a step-by-step overview of how feedback is exchanged between operators and responders to resolve Andon requests, see Understand the Andon workflow.
The Andon Execution use case consists of two parts: The Raise Andon task and the Andon Detail task. Launch the Andon Execution use case tasks from the Operator console's Task tab by either creating a new request using the Raise Andon task or accessing the Andon Details of an existing request for help (Andon). Depending on the task selected and operator role (requestor or receiver), a dedicated Andon Execution use case detail is launched where Andon requests can be raised, updated, or resolved:
Raise Andon task

The Raise Andon interface consists of:
Raise Andon task: Enables operators to create an Andon request and initiate a structured Andon process
for addressing issues. The task is accessible as a COMMAND task type in the Operator
console and can be filtered in the task list via the task type filter Command. For detailed information on accessing the task, see Execute Andon use case details.
Use case detail area: The use case detail area is the interactive section where the user can execute MES
use cases linked to the relevant commands. The Raise Andon use case detail displays
properties that need to be defined to create an Andon request including the issue
type, location, description, and optional notes. For detailed information on how to
create an Andon request, see Raise an Andon request.
Andon Details task

The Andon Details interface consists of:
Andon Details task: Enables operators to open an existing Andon request in order manage and track the
resolution of the Andon through a structured feedback loop. The task shows up in the
task list of the operator console and can be filtered via the task type filter Andon. For detailed information on accessing the task, see Execute Andon use case details.
Use case details area: The use case detail area is the interactive section for the user to execute MES use
cases linked to the relevant commands. The Andon Details use case details display
key information about an Andon request including its details (ID, location, type,
issue description, and status) and history (status changes, notes, acknowledgements,
and timestamps). It enables the requestor and recipient to provide feedback and log
actions on the path to resolving the request. For detailed information on how to update
an Andon request, see Update Andon request details.
