AVEVA™ Composable and Model Driven MES

Operator console use case details area

  • Last UpdatedOct 15, 2025
  • 2 minute read

The use case detail area is the interactive section of the Operator console where operators execute MES use cases by accessing links to the relevant tasks.

Each use case detail provides a structured interface with the necessary information and data entry fields required to complete the task. These details are dynamically configured based on several contextual factors, such as:

  • The current status of the production process

  • The material being produced

  • The specific equipment selected

  • The role and identity of the operator

  • Other contextual details

This configuration is managed through a central configuration table, ensuring that the operator sees only the most relevant and actionable content for their current task.

The use case detail area supports a range of MES activities—from simple job actions like start job or complete job to more complex workflows such as material reception or quality checks.

When an operator selects a task from the task list, the corresponding use case detail is automatically displayed in the use case detail area based on the configured context. This area provides the operator with a structured interface to complete the selected task. For example, executing specific job actions. For more information, see the use case example below.

Example: Produce job use case details

The figure below illustrates example use case details shown when the Produce panel button for a Job Execution task is selected.

Note: The project specific use case details are explained in the related Composable MES user documentation for the individual use cases.
