Ship inventory

Use the Ship Inventory use case details to finalize and remove the selected inventory item from the system when materials are shipped out of the facility. This function ensures that shipped items are no longer available in the active inventory list, supporting accurate stock levels and traceability.

Ship inventory

  1. Select the Ship Inventory panel button.

    The Ship Inventory use case details open. Note that inventory details are read-only. The following standard inventory properties are available to review:

    • Location: Location where inventory is being received.

    • Item Description: Description of the material/product that is produced, semi-finished or finished product.

    • Lot No: Unique ID for a specific batch of items produced under similar conditions.

    • Sublot No: Subdivision of a lot number that is used for further tracking or differentiation within a lot.

    • Quantity: Available inventory.

  2. In the Comments field, enter context or notes about the shipment.

  3. Select Shipping.

    The inventory list updates immediately to reflect the shipped inventory, removing the item from the list.
