Reclassify inventory

Use the Reclassify Inventory use case details to to update the classification of the selected inventory item by changing its grade, state, or expiry date. This is useful when materials are re-evaluated, re-purposed, or need to be reassigned due to quality checks, process changes, or operational needs.

Reclassify inventory

1. Select the Reclassify Inventory panel button.

   The Reclassify Inventory use case details open.

2. Do one of the following:

   • To reclassify the selected lot only, select Selected Lot.

   • To reclassify the entire location, select Entire Location.

3. Review and update the following properties:

   • State: Condition of the material.

   • Grade: Quality of the material.

   • Expiry date: If applicable, the expiration date of the inventory.

4. Select Reclassify.

   The inventory list updates immediately to reflect the reclassified inventory.
