Split a utilization event

Use the Split Utilization Event use case details to split a utilization event into two separate events. Specify event durations for each new event.

Split a utilization event

For the selected utilization event:

1. Select the Split Utilization Event panel button.

2. Review the Event Time to verify the event start date and time.

3. To split the event, do one of the following:

   • To split the event left, select Split Left.

   • To split the event right, select Split Right.

4. Drag the Split Slider to a location that reflects the correct duration of each of the split events.

   The First Part and Second Part intervals update to show the durations of the split events.

   

5. Enter a Comment to provide additional context about the update.

6. Select Split.

   The Equipment Utilization Event list and status bar are updated immediately with the new events.

   Note: The new events retain the formerly assigned utilization reasons. Select each event to assign new utilization reasons to the new events. For detailed instructions, see Assign a utilization event reason.
