Basic solution architecture

The AVEVA Composable and Model Driven MES installation packages are a set of Model Driven Solution Components designed and delivered by AVEVA on top of the typical Model Driven MES system architecture based on the two key products AVEVA MES and AVEVA Work Tasks.

In the basic architecture, the AVEVA FRAME serves as a basic layer combining commonly used AVEVA products, the MES database, automation interfaces, and centralized functionalities like localization, navigation, CONNECT publisher, and other core components within the solution architecture.

Modules on top of the FRAME are providing predefined solution elements tailored to specific MES functional areas and build based on the Model Driven approach. Each module is a self-contained package of MES functionality (module components), including UI elements, workflows, and logic. Use Cases are the combination of module components. Modules can be used individually or combined to build a comprehensive set of MES use cases. For example, one module might handle job management, while another manages performance. The layer enables a plug, play, and configure approach for use cases.

AVEVA FRAME and Modules define a consequently standardized solution base enabled to run Use Cases in User Consoles.
