Launch the Quality Management use case from the Supervisory console (or Operator console, if configured) and select the Quality Management tab. This opens a dedicated interface that provides centralized access to quality-related functions for the selected equipment.

The Quality Management use case.

The Quality Management use case consists of:

Quality sample list with quick filters: Shows all quality samples associated with the selected equipment. Users can browse and select a sample to manage from this list. Quick filters allow narrowing the list based on sample status or requested time, making it easier to locate the sample you want to work on.

For more information, see Understand Quality Management filters .

Quality Management panel: Provides panel buttons (e.g., View, Create, Edit, Cancel, Pull, Finalize) that are enabled or disabled based on the current status of the selected sample. By default, these buttons link to predefined AVEVA standard use case details or can be configured to trigger processes via workflows. The link itself can be dependent on configured context. The use case details can be replaced by modified use case details depending on customers need.

For more information, see Execute Quality Management use case details.

Use case detail area: This interactive section allows users to execute MES use cases linked to the selected panel button. The link between the button and the use case is configured based on contextual factors such as:

  • The current status of the sample

  • The associated work order or item

  • The selected equipment

  • The user’s role and permissions

  • Any custom configuration

For more information, see Execute Quality Management use case details.

For detailed guidance on using the Quality Management use case, see Navigate the Quality Management use case.
