The Work Instruction use case brings together a centralized repository and intuitive interface to support operators in accessing task-specific guidance during production. It’s designed to streamline task execution and reduce errors by enabling structured, equipment-specific instructions that are easy to retrieve and follow.
The Work Instruction use case enables the operator to:
-
Access work instructions tailored to specific equipment or production lines.
-
Confirm the current work area and navigate to the relevant command tab.
-
View instructions in multiple formats including text, diagrams, step-by-step procedures, and multimedia.
-
Retrieve and follow embedded instructions at the step level for enhanced clarity.
The Work Instruction use case belongs to the task type COMMAND in the Operator console. In contrast to other typical task types like job tasks, quality tasks, or downtime tasks, the command task type is used on demand when required by the operator. Available commands are accessible in the task list by filtering the task type for commands.
