Launch the Performance Management use case from the Supervisory console (or Operator console, if configured) and select the Performance Management tab. This opens a dedicated interface that provides centralized access to MES equipment utilization functions for the selected equipment.

The Performance Management use case.

The Performance Management use case consists of:

Configurable page header with equipment selection: The interface is filtered by the selected equipment at the page header level, ensuring that all displayed utilization data is relevant to the user’s current focus.

Equipment Utilization Event state bar: A color-coded timeline view that visually represents utilization events. Selecting an event in the list highlights it in the bar and vice versa, helping users quickly correlate data and time frames.

Equipment Utilization Event list with quick filters: Displays all utilization events for the selected equipment, including their states, durations, and assigned reasons. Users can browse and select a utilization event to manage from this list. Users can apply quick filters based on event end time or use column-based filters to narrow down the list.

For more information, see Understand Performance Management filters.

Performance Management panel: Provides panel buttons (e.g., Assign, Split, Merge) that allow users to manage utilization events. These buttons are always available. By default, these buttons link to predefined AVEVA standard use case details or can be configured to trigger processes via workflows. The link itself can be dependent on configured context. The use case details can be replaced by modified use case details depending on customer requirements.

For more information, see Execute Performance Management use case details.

Use case detail area: The use case detail area is the interactive section for the user to execute MES use cases linked to the relevant panel buttons. The link between the panel button and the use case are configured based on several contextual factors such as:

  • The current status of the production process

  • The material being produced

  • The specific equipment selected

  • The role and identity of the operator

  • Other custom context

For detailed information on how to use the Performance Management use case, see Navigate the Performance Management use case.
