Understand Handling Unit selection

Use the Handling Unit (HU) Selection component to search for and select existing handling units. Once selected, review and manage the handling unit and its contents.

To select a specific handling unit:

1. Enter the Handling Unit ID to search for a specific ID. Alternatively, browse the handling units in the Handling Unit Details area to identify the handling unit of interest.

   The HU details matching the value entered display in the Handling Unit Selection and Details areas. The following standard properties are available for review:

   Handling Unit Selection

   • Item Description: The description of the HU (e.g., generic pallet, box).

   • Source Location: The current location of the HU.

   • Destination: The designated destination of the HU.

   Handling Unit Details

   • Item Description: The description of the HU content (e.g., yellow concentrate).

   • Lot No: The unique ID for a specific batch of items produced identified as stored in the HU.

   • Sublot No: The subdivision of the lot number identified as stored in the HU.

   • Parent Id: The HU ID.

   • Quantity left: The quantity of inventory left in the HU.

   • UOM: The unit of measure for the inventory.

   • Action (Delete): Delete the HU.

2. Select a handling in the Handling Unit Details area to view information about the handling unit inventory location. The following standard properties are available for review in the Handling Unit Inventory Location Details area when a HU is selected:

   • Material: Inventory ID.

   • Lot No: The unique ID associated with the inventory.

   • Sublot No: The unique subdivision of the lot associated with the inventory

   • State: The current condition of the inventory.

   • Grade: The quality of the inventory.

   • Quantity: The amount of material.

   • Location: The storage location of the inventory

   • Action (Add): Add inventory to the HU.
