AVEVA™ Composable and Model Driven MES

Lot and Sublot Attributes use case

The Lot and Sublot Attribute use case provides a user interface (UI) for defining and managing custom attributes associated with inventory lots and sublots. These attributes are essential for tracking quality, compliance, and operational metadata across manufacturing processes. The functionality is embedded as an AVEVA standard use case within the MES Inventory Use Case framework. Users can:

  • View current attribute values and notes.

  • Assign or remove attributes from lots or sublots.

  • Modify attribute values and notes.

  • Delete attributes from lots or sublots.

Note: The use case only allows the configuration of attributes that have already been defined in the MES configuration. In addition, it does not support the creation of new attribute types—only the management of existing ones.

Launch the use case by selecting the Add Lot and SubLot Attributes item from the Enterprise Console Dashboard menu. This opens a dedicated dual-tabbed interface that enables users to define and manage custom attributes for inventory lots and sublots.

The Add Lot and Sublot Attributes use case consists of:

Lot and sublot attribute tabs: Select whether to interact with lot or sublot attributes.

Lot (or sublot) attribute list: Shows all attributes defined at the lot or sublot level for a selected material. Browse and select items to manage attributes from this list. Quick filters help narrow down the list based on contents of each column of the grid.

For more information, see Understand Lot and Sublot Attribute filters.

Attribute management panel: Provides panel buttons (e.g., Refresh, Add, Edit, or Delete) to manage the attribute list.

For more information, see Understand Lot and Sublot Attribute panel buttons.

Use case details: The use case details comprise the interactive section for the user to execute use cases linked to the relevant panel buttons.

For more information see, Execute Lot and Sublot Attribute use case details.
