To import drawings into the Drawings List

  1. As required, click Check for New Loops, Check for New CBDs, or Check for New Terminations on the List Tools - Drawings tab.

Note: If drawing numbers contain special characters such as <, >, ?, *, and so on, they will not be imported. A message is displayed to inform you of this when any of the above options is selected.

The Drawing Check Options window is then displayed (for example):

  2. If required, select an area from the Area list. Drawings will only be checked for in the selected area. The window below the list displays the selected area(s). By default, all areas are checked.

  3. Select the required option or options:

    • If the Check For New option is selected, new diagrams of the appropriate type will be added to the Drawings List for each new equipment, loop or enhanced cable block diagram found in Wiring Manager or Engineer.

    • If the Check and Update Existing option is selected, details of equipment, loops or diagrams that already have drawings in the Drawings List are checked, and the details in the Drawings List are updated if changes are detected.

    • If the Check for Deleted option is checked, diagrams for any equipment, loops or diagrams that has been deleted from Wiring Manager or Engineer will be removed from the Drawings List.

  4. Click Check.

The appropriate list is then checked for new, updated and/or deleted equipment, loops or enhanced cable block diagrams depending on the option(s) specified.

A Progress window displays the progress of the check (for example):

When the procedure is completed, the number of added, changed and/or deleted drawings is displayed (for example):

If deleted equipment, loops or diagrams are detected, you will be asked to confirm the deletion of the relevant drawing from the Drawings List. For example:

Titles of new drawings in the Drawings List will be created based on values assigned to the equipment engineering data, according to configuration rules defined by users. Refer to Drawing Title Setup Preferences for details.
