To Assign/Edit Datalinks

Once the AutoCAD AVEVA Instrumentation menu is loaded select AVEVA Instrumentation from the pull-down menus, then Edit Datalinks.

AutoCAD will prompt you to select objects.

Select a block with attributes, and then press enter.

AutoCAD will display the Edit Datalinks window:

This window shows all the attributes and Datalinks defined for the selected block.

To assign a Datalink, either type in a valid Datalink in the Datalink field next to the appropriate Attribute field, or copy it from a Datalinks window (see Datalinks Window) which has been opened for a drawing that will use this Template or Seed.

To copy from the Datalinks window use the Windows copy and paste functions (Ctrl-C / Ctrl-V) or drag and drop (hold the Ctrl key and drag the report Datalink to the required field in the window above).
