Import Catalog From Other Project

Catalog Datasheets (form definitions) may be imported from another AVEVA Instrumentation Project in a multi-Project environment.

1. With the Datasheet Form Catalog Grid open select From Other Project in the Import section of the Manage tab to display the Select an AVEVA Instrumentation Project window.

2. Select the Project from which the Catalog Datasheets are to be imported are defined.

3. After selecting the Project, the Catalog Import window is displayed, which lists catalog forms within the selected Project:

   

   Note: To minimize the possibility that data currently being worked on by another User may be affected by an import, a list of the Users working on the current Project is available from the UserCount link. The number of current Users is displayed next to the link. This total includes the User performing the import.

4. Select the Catalog Datasheets to be imported, and click Import. A progress window is displayed.

   If a catalog datasheet or template with the same name as one being imported already exists in the Project Database, a warning message is displayed. You may choose to overwrite the existing datasheet or template.

   A warning message is also displayed if a datasheet exists in the current Database has been based on a catalog datasheet with the same name as one being imported. Such catalog datasheets will not be imported.

   AVEVA Instrumentation will then copy the selected catalog forms from the selected Project to the current Project, including their DataLinks (field/cell mappings).
