Hookups

Hookup drawings are created by assigning a pre-defined Hookup Template to each project hookup drawing. A Hookup Template is made up of two parts:

• an AutoCAD drawing that contains the graphical representation of the installation detail.

• a Bill of Materials or Parts List that is assigned from the Designer Hookup parts catalogue.

Hookup drawings can be one of the following types: General, Process, Pneumatic or Mounting.

When the project Hookup drawing is created, AVEVA Instrumentation updates the Hookup Template drawing with all parts and all tags assigned to the drawing.
