Create New Classes

Note: Classes can also be added to the project by importing them from an Excel spreadsheet (see Import Classes from Excel).

1. To create a new class for process equipment, select Process Equipment from the Format for list.

2. To create a new class for process lines, select Process Lines from the Format for list.

3. Select New. The Class Details window is displayed:

   

4. Enter the required details in the Class Name, Class Description and Remarks fields.

   The Class Name and Class Description fields cannot be left blank. The entry in the Class Name field must be unique for the project (that is, it cannot be a name that another class already has).

5. Select Apply to save the new class without exiting the window.

6. Select OK to save the new class and exit the window.

7. Select New to clear all the fields.

8. Select Cancel to exit the window without saving the new class.
