Add Compartments

Note: Compartments cannot be added to equipment created in and shared from and AVEVA Electrical project. If this is attempted, an message will be displayed to inform the user of this.
It is recommended that, if AVEVA Electrical is in use for a project, all Compartments should be created in that application. Compartments should only be created in AVEVA Instrumentation if AVEVA Electrical is not being used, so that the necessary cable terminations can be specified for them.

To add a Compartment

1. Do one of the following:

   • From the Equipment Layout window of an MCC or Switchboard, right-click and select Add Compartment from the pop-up menu.

   • From the Equipment View context sensitive right-click menu (after right-clicking on an appropriate MCC or Switchboard node) click Add Compartment.

   The Compartment Information window is then displayed:

   

2. Enter the details of the compartment and click Save.
