Enhanced Cable Block Diagram Seeds List

Seed drawings are used by Designer to create enhanced cable block diagram drawings. Seed drawings are normally just an empty drawing file containing a drawing title block (drawing frame with attributes). AVEVA Instrumentation requires specific parameters to enable distribution diagrams to be generated. These parameters are set in the CBD Seeds File Parameters window.

1. To open the CBD Seeds list window which contains a list of all CBD Seed files for the project, click Select in the Grids and Schedules section of the Home tab.

2. Select CBD Seeds from the list of grids that is then displayed.

   The CBD Seeds grid is then displayed:

   

   Note: Refer to Working with the Data Grid for information on the grid control including how to select a record.

This window contains a list of all Enhanced CBD Seed drawing files added to the project database through this window.

Note: Ensure that a Seed file is copied (or saved in AutoCAD) to the project Seed folder with the same file name as the 'Seed File' name entered in the Seed List otherwise Designer cannot use the Seed drawing to generate drawings. This should automatically be the case if the procedure for adding new Seed Files (see below) is followed.
