Database Upgrade

If the version of AVEVA Instrumentation is more recent than that of a project database, the database must be updated to the same version as that of the application before the project can be opened. If this is the case you will see the following message when opening a project:

To upgrade the database

1. Select Yes to continue.

   The Login window displays:

   

2. Enter the password for the Security Manager and click Login. For more information on the Security Manager and passwords, refer to the Security Manager User Guide for further information.

   The Database Upgrade window displays:

   

3. Select the product version you want to upgrade to from the list, and then click Upgrade.

   A message is then displayed. For example:

   

4. Click OK to proceed with the upgrade.

   The progress of the upgrade is displayed:

   

5. After the upgrade is finished, select the project from the Select an AVEVA Electrical Project window to open it.
