Editing Process Data for Multiple Tags

Multiple instrument process data records can be edited.

1. To edit multiple records in the project, select multiple records in the Instrument Process Data grid.

2. Select Edit in the Records section of the Home tab.

   A message is displayed requesting confirmation that data for multiple tags is to be edited:

   

3. Select Yes. The Multi Field Edit (Bulk Edit) window is displayed:

   

   Note: If No is clicked, the selected records are instead displayed in a vertical format (columns) for side-by-side editing. For more information, refer to Common Functionality of AVEVA Instrumentation.

4. Perform the following actions required to edit multiple records:

   1. Check the Select checkbox for all columns to be edited.

   2. Enter the new value required in the Value column

   3. Repeat for all columns to be updated.

   4. Select Save to save the data to all selected tags.

      Notes: The Copy first record's Data option will copy the data from the first record selected in the Grid View into the window ready for editing. The data is not actually copied to the selected records unless the Select checkbox is selected and Save is clicked.
      
      The columns in this window are the same as the columns in the current Grid view as defined by the Grid Manager.
