Loop Data

Loop data is viewed in the Loop Data window.

This window can be accessed from two places in Designer:

In the Drawing Information window (refer to Add a New Drawing), click the button in the Loop No field (only available if the Drawing is a Loop Diagram).

From the Drawings List grid list, click the button in the Loop No cell, which appears when the mouse hovers over the 'Loop No' cell.
If the drawing has not been assigned to a loop, the Assign Drawing to Loop window is displayed, which provides a list of Loops defined in the Instrument Engineer application.

Double-click on the required Loop, or select it and click Assign.

Use the Display by Area list to filter the list of Loops by an area.

The Loops button accesses facilities for creating new Loops. For further information, refer to Engineer.
If the drawing has been assigned to a loop, the Options window is displayed:

Clicking Edit Loop Detail displays the Loop Edit window, displaying details of the Loop:

This window enables you to:

Edit Loop information (including checking Drawing Required).

Editing Instrument Tag data (double-clicking on any tag in the Loop Instruments list will display the Instrument Data window).

Add new tags/instruments to the current loop (use the Add Tag button to display the Assign Tags to Loops.

Check the loop instrument wiring including terminations (via the Loop Check Wiring button).

Create Loop wiring for current Loop based on user defined Wiring Rules (via the Create Loop Wiring button - refer to Using Wiring Rules to Create Data for more information).

Remove existing Loop wiring using the Remove Loop Wiring button.

The Last Edit field displays the date and time when the loop data was last edited. The user name of the individual that performed the edit is displayed in a tool-tip when the mouse cursor is hovered over the field. Click the button in the field to display the Audit Manager, which will display a list of all the changes to the loop data.
