Add a New Catalog Instrument

To manually add a catalog instrument to the Project

1. Click New in the Records section of the Home tab to display the Add New Catalog Instrument window.

   

2. Enter a Project unique name for the catalog instrument in the Name field.

3. Complete the rest of the fields with the data that is to be available for copying to Project instruments creating using this catalog instrument.

   For guidance on completing these fields, refer to Manually Add a Tag to the Instrument List.

   Note: A datasheet may be assigned to a catalog instrument. When an instrument is created using the catalog instrument, the selected datasheet may also be assigned to the new instrument. For further information, refer to View/Edit Instrument Datasheets.

4. Click Save to create the new catalog instrument. The new catalog instrument will then be added to the list of catalog instruments in the grid.
