Attachments (External Documents)

Instrumentation Engineer includes facilities to attach external documents or files to instrument tags and for the viewing of these attached documents.

Attachments can include any Windows supported file. Attached documents might contain information such as: vendor data, catalog data, calibration certificates, hazardous area certificates, site photographs, CAD files, etc.

While AVEVA Instrumentation supports the attachment of any Windows file format, to view an attached document however your workstation must provide access to the an application to open the file format of the attachment (for example, a PDF viewer to open PDF files).
