Attach a Document to a Process Items

  1. To attach a new document to a process item, either select New on the Attached Documents window, or select Attached Document in the Attached Documents section of the List Tools tab to display the Attached Documents window.

    The Attached Document Details window is displayed.

    Note: Documents can also be attached by importing details of attached documents from an Excel spreadsheet. See below.

  2. The file to be attached is selected by selecting ... to the right of the Document field. A file browser window is then opened, enabling navigation to the file.

  3. Select the required file and click Open on the file browser window to close the file browser window and return to the Attached Document Details window. The Document field will be populated with the selected file and file path.

  4. Select a document type from the Type dropdown list or manually enter a new type. An optional description can be entered in the Description text box.

  5. Check the Public checkbox if the attachment is to be shared with all the users on the same project. Leave the Public checkbox unchecked if only the current user is to have access to the attachment.
