The Edit Traded Crude page allows editing of the reference information for a crude. Reference information includes the crude's name, origin and alternative names.

To change a crude's traded name or any of its aliases type the new names in the relevant boxes. To change the origin of a crude and any loading information select the correct location from Source Location.
If you change the source location of a traded crude, you can update the existing assays in the database to use this location as their new origin. Use Edit Traded Crude to choose how to update the assays in the database. For example, a traded crude origin could be updated to change from Africa to Nigeria:
-
Do not update existing Assays: Any database assays of this traded crude are not updated and their source location remains as the location set when the assay was entered. Assays of the crude with a location of Africa keep their source location as Africa.
-
Update if existing source is ...: Any database assays of this traded crude with the named source location are updated. The named source location is the source location of the traded crude before it was changed. Only assays of this crude with a source location of Africa are updated to a new location of Nigeria. If an assay of this traded crude had an origin of World it would keep the same source location.
-
Update all Assays: All assays of this traded crude have their source location updated. The source location is changed even if it is not the same as the source location of the traded crude before it was changed. All assays of this crude with a source location of Africa are updated to Nigeria. An assay of this crude with a location of World is also updated to Nigeria.
You can also set the current crude as the Traded Crude for all existing cargoes which have been entered using the crude's name or any of the listed aliases. Choose either option from Update Cargoes and select Update.
