Add message categories

Assay common categories provide a quick and convenient means of categorising Assay messages for searching and indexing purposes. When posting a message, you can indicate those common categories to which your message relates. When searching for messages, you can use the common category facility of Assay to quickly restrict your search results to only those messages relating to the selected categories.

The categories available to you are controlled by your Assay administrator, and may differ from those in the previous image.

You can deselect a category by clearing the relevant check box. However, you must indicate your message belongs to at least one category or Assay database categories, or else Assay will issue an error message.
