Base crude

To perform the update, the AssayUpdate module needs to know the base crude, that is, the crude that will be updated on the basis of the new measurements. You can select the base crude using the crude selector component at the bottom of the page.

Property measurements

Property measurements for a crude are added in the Property Measurements table.

1. Select a property to edit from the Property dropdown list.

2. Enter the Start and End points for the cut.

3. Use the special values IBP and FBP to denote the initial and final boiling points for a cut.

4. Enter a measurement value in the Value field.

5. (Optional) To exclude a measurement from the generation, clear the corresponding checkbox in the Active column.

6. Select Update to add more rows to the measurements table.

   

   Note: You can also paste data from a spreadsheet application such as Microsoft Excel. The spreadsheet data must be configured exactly the same as the property grid. The property names in the spreadsheet must match the property names used in Assay. The property name, start cut point, end cut point, and measurement values must be entered in separate columns in the spreadsheet.
