Add crudes to your netback analysis

The Crudes page shows those crudes chosen for Netback analysis

The Crudes Page shows the crudes that are currently included in the active Netback Generation. Only crudes included on this page will have their Netback margins calculated. If crudes are included in the active Crudes List they should also have entries on the Crude pricing and Add crude freight pages. If a crude does not have an associated price and freight cost it is not possible to calculate the margin and only the value of the crude's products is shown.

Netback is capable of running in different modes which are changed using the Mode menu:

• Separate crudes - each crude is run separately and the Netback value returned for each crude

• Single blend - the crudes are premixed in a ratio entered in the Netback case and the Netback value of this single blend returned

• Incremental Blend - the active crude is blended at various percentages with a Base Blend for the refinery reporting results across the range of blends

• Base Load - the Test Crudes are blended at a fixed percentage with a Base Blend for the refinery reporting a single result for each Test Crude.

The Assay Selector allows traded crudes to be added to the Netback Case

To add crudes to the Netback case use the Add button. Clicking the Add button opens the Assay Selector which allows the crudes to be selected. To search for a crude type its name or part of its name in the Search box. Several icons are available while working with the Search box:

- search the database for the crude name

- configure advanced search options

- use a saved filter to search for crudes

- change the data sets used in the search

To add a crude to the Crude List select the check box next to its name. The results of a search may span several pages. In this case use the Pages links in the bottom right corner of the Crude Selector to move between the different pages.

The Search box supports wildcards when searching for crudes. For example to find all crudes with arab as part of its name type arab* in the Search field and click or Enter. To search for crudes with medium in its name type *medium* in the Search field and click .
